Where Evaluations Take Place

Hammer Pediatric Neuropsychology is designed for convenience. Rather than asking every family to travel to a single office, testing is scheduled in the setting that works best for your child: a private professional office near you, or your own home. Intake consultations and feedback sessions take place by secure video, so most families only need to plan around testing day.

Professional Office Locations

Testing days are held in a private, reserved office within a Regus professional business center. With locations throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area, we select the center most convenient for your family when we schedule your appointment.

  • A private, quiet office reserved for your child's appointment, not a shared or open workspace

  • Professional buildings with convenient parking and accessible entrances

  • Included in the standard evaluation fee

You'll receive the address and arrival details with your appointment confirmation.

In-Home Evaluations

For some children, home is the setting where they can best show what they can do. In-home testing may be a good fit for families who:

  • Are immunocompromised

  • Use mobility equipment or have medical needs that make travel difficult

  • Experience significant anxiety in unfamiliar places

  • Would otherwise face long travel days that could affect energy and attention

In-home evaluations carry an additional fee of $500. This covers travel time and the transport and setup of testing materials, and is separate from the evaluation fee. It will be itemized on your Good Faith Estimate before any services are scheduled.

Preparing Your Home for Testing

Neuropsychological tests are standardized, which means they must be given under consistent conditions for the results to accurately reflect your child's abilities. For in-home appointments, we ask that families provide:

  • A quiet room with a door that closes

  • A table and two chairs at a comfortable height for your child

  • Good lighting, with the TV, music, and other background noise turned off

  • Siblings, pets, and visitors kept out of the testing room

  • A parent or legal guardian present in the home throughout the appointment

  • A place for snacks and breaks

If conditions on testing day would affect the accuracy of results, we'll work with you to adjust the space or reschedule, which may include moving testing to an office location.

Tucson and Flagstaff

Families in the Tucson and Flagstaff areas can choose either a local professional office or an in-home evaluation. Regional evaluations are scheduled on designated travel days each month; please contact us for upcoming availability.

Tucson: $750

Flagstaff: $1200

Location fees cover travel time, mileage, lodging where needed, office arrangements, and the transport and setup of testing materials. They are separate from the evaluation fee, are not combined with one another, and will be itemized on your Good Faith Estimate before any services are scheduled.

Virtual Appointments

Intake consultations and feedback sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant video platform, so you can participate from home or work.
